You Wont Lose Fat By Dieting
It starts with a decision to lose weight. Soon after that, you learn that fat loss will not occur without exercise. You now have to research the various exercise options available to you. Last, but not least, you have to choose the exercise regimen for you and then do it.
To rid your body of its excess fat and weight, you must address your diet as well.
Experts agree that fat burning exercise has a bigger impact on fat loss and weight loss than diet. This happens because regular exercise brings about an increase in your metabolic rate. An increase in your metabolism will result in more fat burning for you thoughout every day. If you want to achieve fat loss, you are also going to need to change your diet.
Does The Exercise You Do, Burn Fat?
Fat burning exercise is physical activity that you do, in which you exert yourself. What is exertion for me is not necessarily exertion for you. The rate of the activity you choose to do will need to be greater, the fitter you are. There are formulas to help you to determine the correct exertion level for you. Some people find these formulas difficult to work with. A simple rule of thumb to guide you on this is the following
- Are you somewhat out of breath from the activity (not gasping for air)?
- Can you feel a little sweat on the small of your back and on your neck?
- Can you still hold a conversation while exercising?
You likely will lose fat, if you adhere to these 3 points, when you exercise. Your level of fitness will increase, as a result of increased exercise. As you increase your level of fitness, to burn fat you will have to increase the rate of the exercise you do.
What Types Of Exercise Burn Fat?
Fat burning exercise falls into 2 broad categories - aerobic exercise and anaerobic exercise. The terms aerobic exercise and cardio vascular exercise are interchangeable. For exercise to be aerobic, it means that you need to be taking in oxygen for energy; anerobic does not.
Your body uses fat for energy when you do aerobic exercise. During anaerobic exercise, fat is not the energy source for your body. When you exercise anaerobically, your body uses carbohydrates for energy.
Some activities you can do for aerobic exercise are riding a bicycle, jogging, swimming and walking at a rapid pace. Examples of anaerobic exercise are strength and resistance training or running a 100 meter or 200 meter race etc. When you play a game of tennis, it can be aerobic and anaerobic. Sometimes you will be running at full speed. At those times it is anaerobic. It has an aerobic affect, when you exert less energy.
If you want to burn fat, do at least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise daily. If you want faster fat burning, do it twice a day for 30 minutes or once a day for 45 minutes.
Strength training is a good anaerobic exercise regimen to do, because your muscles get larger from it, which increases fat burning. More muscle mass means a higher metabolic rate. You will burn fat at higher rate, even when you are not active, when you increase your metabolism. However, you will not burn fat while doing anaerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise is fat burning exercise.
Do You Want To See Less Fat On Your Body When You Look At A Mirror?
You do not have a choice; you will have to exercise to lose fat. The achievement of your fat loss goals and your weight management goals depends on you doing this. It requires a lifetime commitment to using your body much more than you have been using it.
Refuse to use the elevator or escalator; walk up the stairs instead. You will find that you can increase the amount of walking that you do by parking your car a little further from your destination. Each day, you can do more walks with your dog than you have been doing. Look for things to do, that you don't normally do, in order to increase your metabolism.
All that is left to do now is to decide on your exercise regimen and start it.
What Fat Burning Exercise Regimen Will You Do?
There is a lot to know before deciding upon the best exercise regimen to burn fat for you. There is no such thing as a best exercise regimen. But, you must follow a routine that gets the best results for you and that fits with what you like to do.
There is a best decision for you and it important that you make that one. If you dont get this right, you will become upset and frustrated by a lack of progress. It could cause you to give up on losing weight.
